November: Curator-Led Mint Museum Tour
Featuring the Mint Museum's newest exhibit, Southern/Modern: Rediscovering Southern Art From the First Half of the Twentieth Century, this groundbreaking exhibition is the first to provide a comprehensive survey of works by artists from the American South during this era. Created in collaboration with the Georgia Museum of Art, it presents over 100 paintings and works on paper from artists working below the Mason-Dixon line and beyond. Curated by Jonathan Stuhlman, PhD, and independent scholar Martha Severens, the exhibit delves into themes of race, family, and social struggles, highlighting the contributions of women and artists of color to Southern art.
